KCC Induction.
Our mission is to provide a team-strong positive culture onsite to benefit both our team and our customers.
This induction aims to educate you on our operating procedures and site requirements.
Take your time to read through each section.
Operations.
KCC operates at multiple sites across Australia and New Zealand.
Each site has independent rules and regulations we must follow.
You may be required to complete individual on-site or online inductions.
Crew Expectations.
You will be trained and guided by your crew leaders to our industry standard. They are your first point of contact for any questions.
We seek the following qualities in our crew members to ensure ongoing shifts:
ATTITUDE.
Always be respectful to those around you.
EFFORT.
Arrive to site ready to perform your assigned tasks and be willing to learn.
RELIABILITY.
Accept shift offers and arrive on time to help the team perform at its best.
Container Rate Pay.
Our Container rate bonus provides an incentive to earn a higher hourly wage.
Each container is worth a certain amount based on the product and the average time it takes to unload.
It is then up to you and your team to complete the container efficiently to earn higher hourly pay.
We send your timesheet summary of all shift container rate bonuses every Tuesday for the previous week.
These incentives are here to benefit you and we want you to understand how they work. If you have any questions please reach out to your Recruitment Managers, Crew Leaders and Operations Managers.
Mobile App.
Our Mobile Application brings the team together. We use the application to oversee shift operations.
SHIFTS.
Shifts are organised each day for the following day. All details are sent directly to your phone to accept.
Details include; site address, start time, number of containers to be unloaded plus the details of container rate bonuses.
AVAILABILITIES.
Always indicate when you are and are not available to receive appropriate shift offers. Always accept shift offers to notify us you are coming.
KCC Customers.
Our Customers/Sites request our specialised service because we are trained and able to get the work done at a more efficient pace than untrained staff.
TIME FRAMES.
Customers are often provided with a timeframe to receive their containers on-site to be unloaded and returned. We must keep up with their time frame.
URGENT BOOKINGS.
There may be urgent containers booked to be unloaded by a certain time so the container can leave the site on a Truck Delivery. We must prioritise and consider any urgent Orders.
Containers.
We load and unload 20 Foot and 40 Foot Containers.
Each site receives different container contents of varying weights and sizes.
Container conditions may vary at each site and you will be notified to be prepared with the appropriate PPE.
COLD CONDITIONS.
Certain sites require frozen items to be unloaded from containers. These items may require jackets and gloves.
HOT CONDITIONS.
Where weather conditions are hot, ensure you stay hydrated and have your water bottle handy.
